Plans, and exactly how billing works
Every account starts with a free 30-day trial. We do not take a card, so nothing can be charged by surprise. This page says what each plan costs, when it bills, and what happens when it ends, and you can start any of them from here.
Whatever you buy is added to what you already have
Nothing you have already been given is thrown away when you pay. If you have 20 days of trial left and buy the 6-Month Rotation, you get those 20 days and then six months. Buy another and it goes on the end of that. If you subscribe partway through your trial, your first payment is taken on the day the trial would have ended, not on the day you subscribe.
The free trial itself runs once, for 30 days from when you sign up. Buying a plan never restarts it and never cuts it short.

Every paid plan includes
- Your calendar keeps updating on Apple, Google and Outlook, plus a direct Google Calendar connection for faster updates.
- Rota compliance checks against doctors' safe-working limits.
- Expected pay from your own shifts: gross and take-home, on the resident doctor scales.
- Compare it with the work schedule your trust pays you on.
How many rotas can I add?
Every plan covers up to 2 live rota links and 2 uploaded rotas at the same time. They all merge into one calendar link, and you can update them as often as you like. A live rota link can be pointed at a new rota whenever you rotate. Uploads are the one thing we cap: 2 different uploaded rotas in any rolling 4-month period, which is what a normal changeover looks like.
Who takes the payment?
Stripe handles every payment, so RotaSync never sees your card details. The terms of service carry the full legal wording, and anything unclear is a quick email to support@rotasync.co.uk.
Try it before any of this matters
The first 30 days are free with no card, so the only decision today is whether to stop typing shifts in by hand.
